A: Yes.  We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

How are reports delivered to me?

Q: How are reports delivered to me?

A: Reports can be delivered to you via email or via fax.  Email is, of course, our preference.  All reports are avaliable in your online module regardless of your report delivery settings.

What about a "National" background Check?

Q: What about a "National" background Check?

A: The easy answer is, it doesn't exist, at least not from a government source availble to the public.  Although a lot of companies claim to provide a national background check, what they are actually selling is an instant database search.

Are there additional charges for maiden names?

Q: Are there additional charges for maiden names?

A: Yes.  Because records are generally filed by name, each maiden name or alias will be considered an additional search and will result in additional search fees.

What is the turn-around time for background checks?

Q: What is the turn-around time for background checks?

A: Our turn-around times are generally between 24 and 72 hours.  Some research takes longer due to the availability of resources and cooperation of other entities involved.  However, some of our products, such as credit reports and database searches, are available instantly.

What information is needed to conduct a background check?

Q: What information is needed to conduct a background check?

A: The very minimal requirements for criminal records checks are Full Name & Date of Birth.  However, for more comprehensive research, information such as SSN, Address, Phone number, etc. may be required.

Do I need the applicants authorization to request a background check?

Q: Do I need the applicants authorization to request a background check?

A: Yes.  Federal law requires employers to obtain written permission before conducting background checks.  It is the responsibility of the employer to maintain this written consent.
